Don’t want expensive teppanyaki from Benihanas’s? Well, Tokyo Wako might just be your place. The chefs do tricks and entertain patrons just like they do at BH, but TW is much more affordable.

There’s also a great promotion going on right now at the MPK location for a buy 1, get 1 steak or fish special. For under $20, you can get 2 great meals and a show! The resutrant makes for a great date night. 

Also, there were private rooms that would be great for larger parties or other celebrations. I had no intention on going to Tokyo Wako, but I can say I was plesantly surprised.

It was a fun night. Of course, don’t expect to get the kobe beef or anything here. It can’t compare to the teppanyaki I’ve had in Japan, but it’s an affordable night of fun all local in the 626. 

Just keep in mind you’ll need to shower from head to toe after the location. The smell will defintely stay on you just like Korean BBQ. 

I got the lobster, scallops, and king crab leg special, which was not part of the promotion. It was about $30. The other guests did take part in the special promotion and did enjoy it. 

There have locations in Arcadia and Monterey Park. I went to the MPK location, which is location right above the 24 Hour Fitness in the Atlantic Times Square.
