I’m happy to share my weekend discovery Amara Chocolate & Coffee with you. This amazing, quaint place serves churros-Venezuelan style.
For $5.50 you get five piping hot 5” churros and your choice of chocolate to dip them in. You can choose between their handmade white, milk, or dark chocolate. I couldn’t make up my mind so I had them give me BOTH white and dark chocolate. How’s a girl to choose, right?
The churros here are thin and crispy. I like that it comes out hot. The batter does not overpower the taste. The chocolate quality at Amara is great. The chocolate is rich, but not too sweet.
They also had some great beverages I’d like to go back for. I think I’ll be back for the Venezuelan Hot Chocolate. They also have quite a few other chocolate concoctions to try there.
